Global Fund for Children

The website has the same agendas in the field of education for the youth. Through working together to help end the lack of education, the fund focuses on beating poverty and similar issues through education. It sees education as a means of success, as we do here as well within the course. In order to be successful and be better off than their families, the children are provided with tools for education. Once this education is received, they can get out of the poverty and shambles they are currently in. For us, we can help students here do the absolute same.


On the website, it says that “we advise, mentor and guide our partners”. This is a bit shaky because it does not look like this is a relationship of partners. Personally, this global fund is the hand on the top; the hand that is giving so to speak. This means that it will always be in command, as they are. However, this is not a partnership, as there is no sense of partners in the fund. There is only the hard work coming from the fund, and going to aid the children. Yet on the other side of the spectrum, there is no aid nor partnership to help the fund.

Economists well invest in the education of children constantly for their own gain. They will need workers in the future, and the smarter the better. Also, education will raise the level of workers they will have at the end. Politicians may want to invest in the youth because it will mean that the voting class will be more understanding of politics themselves. Instead of being swayed based off of favoritism, they will use their education to actually think and understand politics. Politics will no longer be a popularity contest, rather a true means of will and skills for the people.
       

Honestly, I had no idea any fund could be so strong, besides the United Nations. Laying claim to a fund that helps in 55 countries, that is quite impressive. Furthermore, it claims to be involved in more than 114 grassroots. Currently, I know of no organization that powerful, besides the United Nations. Coming from another country, we would always see first world countries as wasteful and uncaring. This has completely changed my mind, demonstrating that some people still have good in them and do truly still care for the world. All in all, I am surprised at how successful such a big movement can be.

    Hi Hanadi,

    Thanks for sharing such detailed insights. I think that economists invest will lead to politics being no longer a popularity contest as well. Their investments now will lead to more skillful and productive individuals in society later. However, as professionals in the field they must take away important aspects of the childhood delelopment especially play.

    I agree the investments of economist is what will help in changing the view of what important information can help people to learn and understand the system and how it can be beneficial to the people that need it.
