Exploring Roles in the ECE Community: Local and State Levels                         Looking for communities of practice is a good start that helps me to know more about all the different services that are available for children and families. These agencies are providing many different services that parents and advocators need to move forward to achieve their vision and goals in their particular cases.                The first agency that I will discuss is Children’s Residential Intensive services. The Children’s Residential Intensive services (chRIS) is a full services partnership program implemented by DBH in close collaboration with child and family services (CFS). Special Thanks The communication and collaboration course is a motivated learning opportunity which I need to use to improve my communication skills as a leader in early childhood setting. Also, it has helped me to reflect on my self-awareness, knowledge, and understanding. Every topic leads me to know how I can make a change when it comes to negative matters and issues to be positive by applying and using what I learned. Adjourning Being an educated team who works together to achieve more of what they plan is a blessing. I still remember two years ago when I joined a team to do a project about how to have boundary families in our program. Even though we face many difficulties together by passing duties and giving everyone work on different tasks of the project, but we worked hard to succeed.   We change many roles to make it work for an individual based on their ability and skills. After a few mounts, the team started to success by sharing, respecting, and taking more responsibilities to create a positive working environment. Our attitude toward each other change to feel like we are family members on the same boat. By the end of the project, our relationship was getting stronger which it was hard for us to imagine that we were going toward the end.    To adjourn our year, we commit that we will continue to work together for more future projects. Nonviolent communication and conflict Management             At workplace we celebrate different activities and occasions for children and staff throughout the year. Three years ago, a new teacher joins our school. She doesn’t want to participate in these activities at all. Every time she has an excuse which is these activities are not required for the job. So when we have a meeting she always would bring up this issue that she is not part of these activities which excludes herself from the group by not sitting with us at lunchtime, not chatting with anyone.   This behavior bothers the other teachers who are working at this site for more than twenty years and who get used to doing a lot of fun activities and celebration. Those teachers love to make the work environment motivated and feel like home.
