Personal childhood Web This picture takes a place in Yemen. It was my daughter’s birth day. My parents, my older brother, his wife and two boys and my two sisters with their daughters. Also, my son, daughter, and I. I grew up in a loving and caring environment in a family of six members, two parents and three siblings. My mother was the dynamo of the family, even though she works as a TV host and has different schedule and long hours. She taught me from early age to be independent and has self-assurance. She plays the role model in my live by teaching throughout experience and without letting me know this is an educative moment. Always she was following up with me through the phone to be sure that I eat, took a shower and did my homework. My mother used to say females have the most responsibility at home. As a teacher the most beautiful feeling and what is worth a lot to me is when one of my students draws a picture to express their feelings . As we know children are communicating through the drawing. This picture is one of my students' who gave it to me on teacher appreciation week. The child came running toward me to tell me " I love teacher, Hanadi, Happy teacher day." And the child hugged me.

My name is Hanadi Alhaj. I’m working as a preschool teacher for seven years at Head start. I was raised in a loving environment, and so showing compassion towards young learners comes easy to me. I will not be blind to the obvious pain of the requirement of extreme patience and toleration of mixed cultures and minds. However, my primary purpose of teaching is not to get paid. I teach to improve the lives of the children and to encourage their love of learning. I hate to see children so full of hatred for a tough learning system; so I try to make education fun with hands-on methods. I understand the difficulty some students may under-go in learning, and so I make sure to teach using many different methods so that the class can work together as a whole. I deem it unnecessary to have only some students learn while others get left behind. At the end of the day, it is really important to keep children within their borders.
