    Harlem Children's Zone
 I chose the website Harlem Children's Zone because it focuses on the effects of schooling on children in the United States. It has helped over 25,000, including adults and children. Services, such as aid to those who have certain conditions, are extremely valuable to not only the attainment of education but to the morale of the students.

     What caught my attention is that the moral of the families are also affected, so the benefits have actually extended to over 100,000 people assuming every person affected has a family of at least four. Furthermore, the types of diseases and setbacks aided include autism and dyslexia. These are not able to be cured but are countered by certain measures and treatments to make education simpler for those affected.

     I learned that a small idea can go a long way, as this started off small and is only going to get bigger and bigger. While this started off with a selective group of families, it grew into a much bigger idea and is now recognized by even the White House! This even inspires me, as a teacher, to be more than what I can be.

    I also choose the Harlem Children's Zone. The overall reasoning is the same, the organization goes past just making sure the children are successful in school. They extend their resources to help the community at large. That is a major way to see and be apart of the change that needs to happen in the community.

    This is an awesome program that you have selected based off of the fact that it has help so many people in the community and has become a great resource has allowed for needs to be met.

Global Fund for Children “ We support education from children’s earliest years to secondary school and on through university or vocational training.”    ( The Global Fund for children) The website has the same agendas in the field of education for the youth. Through working together to help end the lack of education, the fund focuses on beating poverty and similar issues through education. It sees education as a means of success, as we do here as well within the course. In order to be successful and be better off than their families, the children are provided with tools for education. Once this education is received, they can get out of the poverty and shambles they are currently in. For us, we can help students here do the absolute same.
