Excellence and Equity in the Early Childhood Field
Working Globally
Throughout my reading of the Working Global website, I found out how every organization works to create a new opportunity for children to develop in healthy development in all areas. Working with and for children is creating a great feeling by seeing children grow, develop, meet, and reach their needs. Also, how supporting child development can have a positive impact on children's' life and will multiply children’s effort in the areas of development as well.
Every child deserves to have an opportunity to grow up in a healthy environment which will protect children from many issues that can pull them back and keep them behind as well as to achieve all areas of development. Children need advocators to keep and fight for their rights.
Physical, Mental, and social well-being for children is the principle for healthy development. Ensuring good health, developing skills, and engagement are what needs to be the focus on to enhance the long life for children. There are children around the world facing many disadvantages issues. It has been reported that children around the world are not reaching their full development by the age of five.
The excellence and equality of care and education for children and families focus on standards, curriculum, and achievement gaps. These issues are affecting children and their families as well as which will affect the outcomes of the children’s performance. Standards are focusing on the goals of education and not on the children’s previous knowledge and individual skills. Which is not taking into account where from children are coming or what they have been learning. On the other hand, standards is a good method to know what teachers have to teach without consideration of individual needs and previous knowledge. Also, the assessments show what the child needs to learn and achieve academically and to be ready to reach the next level of education which will prepare children for school-readiness.

Hello
ReplyDeleteI agree having the right support can help to govern the way each child continues to learn. Children need a strong foundation in learning and that will produce growth not only for now but for later.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI agree that physical, mental, and social well-being are just as critical to academic development. It is the foundation for academic growth. Great blog posting!
