Communication in Culture

Communicating and understanding others based on many perspectives from their own culture will create and build that bridge of communication and will open more ways to communicate. Finding ways to connect and communicate with others could be throughout knowing your audience’s background and culture to be aware of some communication tips and some verbal and nonverbal communication, to be able to achieve some goals and extend the communication. 

  • Keep an open mind, and having some knowledge about others’ background and culture will help to build a good relationship. Personal space that makes others feel more comfortable and more able to express themselves which will end up to cause effective communication.       

  • Self-Presentation to others to know who I am and ask them to present themselves as well so to inform and evaluate each other to have a good start. Practicing active listening will help others to open up more which will build trust and get more effective results for both sides 

  •  Nonverbal communication is important to not be misunderstood and be considered as disrespectful from others which will lead to lock and discontinue the communication.

    I like the strategies that you mentioned. Do you use these yourselves within your daily communications and within the early childhood field? Also, do you find yourself communicating differently among different groups and cultures?

Global Fund for Children “ We support education from children’s earliest years to secondary school and on through university or vocational training.”    ( The Global Fund for children) The website has the same agendas in the field of education for the youth. Through working together to help end the lack of education, the fund focuses on beating poverty and similar issues through education. It sees education as a means of success, as we do here as well within the course. In order to be successful and be better off than their families, the children are provided with tools for education. Once this education is received, they can get out of the poverty and shambles they are currently in. For us, we can help students here do the absolute same.
